RESTAURANTS

Remm Works has been involved creatively with many restaurant projects, including: Emerald Line in Portland's Slabtown waterfront district, Broder Nord in the Mississippi neighborhood, and Fire and Stone in the Beaumont business district.

In 2014 REMM works designed and built the interior of Fire and Stone Restaurant on NE Fremont street in Portland. The wood was procured from a dairy barn that had collapsed in Kalama, Washington. Lumber was salvaged and re-milled for all the booths, bar and tables for the restaurant. Wood from the skip sheeting of the barn roof was charred using the Japanese shou sugi ban method. This video demonstrates the process.
